Nutrition is fundamental to infants’ growth and development. Families’ lack of access to formula due to supply chain issues and compounded by recalls is unacceptable. No parent should ever fear they may not be able to feed their child. Moreover, this shortage could cause parents to turn to unsafe sources to obtain nutrition for their babies. We call on elected representatives, regulators, manufacturers and other government officials to take immediate action to shore up the supply chain and ensure all parents who want infant formula can access it.
